Matt Gottlieb is an Israeli-born actor based in Los Angeles. He specializes in doing different dialects and playing off-beat, quirky characters who rule as Mayors of the Friend Zone (one of the many similarities between him and Ross Geller).
Most recently, Matt has appeared in the pilot Gerald, Dean and Geraldeen (written and directed by Katlin Mastandrea of ABC's The Middle), a commercial for Snickers, voice-over roles on the Netflix shows Fauda (Series Reg) and When Heroes Fly (Recurring), and played the main antagonist in John Legend's official music video for the song Penthouse Floor.
On stage he's most notably performed Off-Broadway in the Drama Desk Award nominated The Ryan Case: 1873, and the west coast premiere of My Big Gay Italian Funeral, directed by 3 time Emmy Award winner Sonia Blangiardo.
Matt is also a proud member of Slauson Theater Rep, where he works every Saturday with Shia LaBeouf and collaborates with people from all walks of life, in the projects of south LA. He performs stand up comedy around the city and developed his comedy chops at Lesly Kahn, UCB and Second City.
Matt is an avid basketball, Harry Potter and Bill Burr fan. He's also passionate about conquering his fears, which led to some of his finest moments in skydiving, bungee jumping (twice) and joining an online dating app.
A proud member of SAG-AFTRA. Repped by Media Artists Group and Church-Hugger Management.
